War was unwinnable by the opposition to begin with. They lost it the moment they started it.
What's the goals of said war? How is it going on the military front for example? Military defenses still standing. Like all military in the civilized world. These are people waging wars against their own nations; that's High Treason.
Study Chess. Their side is basically only Pawns. They have never been close to Monarchs on the chess board (you can't just skip all the military fortifications etc to attack a Monarch directly).
Also a bunch of people high up have insanely high spiritual stats; the stuff that makes you unable to launch any offenses from just "passive stats alone". These stats is stuff that affects actual Physics and stuff; makes it "literally impossible for say a nuclear bomb to detonate somewhere within physical harm radius; the physical harm is averted by metaphysical stats/saves and shit like that; makes all lines of events involved simply divert said nuke from being able to detonate in an area where harm radius would hit people that can't be harmed by such effects."
"stats that defends against physical harm on an individual body" affects "areas where a nuclear bomb can potentially land".

Also attack-attempts against certain individuals is automatically "reflected"; study "Thorns" in Diablo 2 and similar; all such attacks and such (conspiracies and such) is automatically caused towards the attacker as well.
