It's fascinating to me how Britain sat on top of the world's intellectual resource and could pool any opinion from literally the entire globe in a complete diversity of thoughts, and not a single of these thoughts ever led to the conclusion that you would collapse if the Europe that you hated so much collapsed in favor of the new world.
The fact that this is so painfully obvious and yet completely invisible to Britain back then, and once again right now after it had "learned its lesson", is just fascinating. It's a lot like the jews when you think about it - delusional and psychotic people who cannot realize that their edgelord boat is sinking but are nevertheless going along in an unrepentant loyalty to their inborn psychopathy and arbitrary hatred of everything, with a total rejection of anyone who tried to convince them otherwise.
