The memetic virus organisms called "ideas" are an emergent property of the entropic and negentropic exchanges within that fleshy organ we call "brain".
Just as biological life and all its complexity is an emergent property of physical-chemical reactions, so too are ideas and conciousness emergent properties of biological life.
The "self" which individual humans believe themselves to encompass are merely layered amalgamations of natural, animal instinct, bio-mechanical laws, and of multiple parasitic or symbiotic memetic superorganisms, competing or cooperating, devouring or growing, mindlessly, but not without purpose, for the sake of reproduction, survival and evolution.
Thanks to advances and spread of technology, mass communication and the internet, memetic natural evolution and selection has reached a critical level.
The speed of the internet has resulted in these memetic viruses to engulf billions of humans at once, directing them towards its arbitrary ends like a human body might direct its individual cells. And just as with biological life, too many of these memetic superorganisms have evolved to be parasitic, rather than mutualistic or free-living.
By using the fundamentally flawed scaffolding of human logic and emotion, rather than real physical operationalism, parasitic memes like Abrahamism, Liberalism, Feminism are able to continually avoid extinction. Yet there is no free lunch in this universe, and thus the real cost demanded by the laws of the physical universe by such memetic lies will continue to compound as damage to our world (informational, mental, behavioural, genetic, physical, capital) increases, until the host (mankind) can no longer sustain the physical pressure, undergoing rapid collapse, adaptation and most likely, extinction.
