Las Vegas is okay in my book, at least outside the gaming corridors. I love how it's laid out and how many options you have to get out into the desert and nearby destinations in Arizona, California and Utah. Its downsides though are significant.

> climate is awful for 5-6 months out of the year
> drunk drivers everywhere at all hours
> housing is way overpriced, though somewhat lower than a lot of cities that size and larger
