Howard Lutnick was the CEO of Cantor Fitzgerald on 9/11. They had offices between the 101st and 105th floors of the North Tower of the WTC, which was the first tower hit. The offices were just above the impact zone (floors 93 to 99), so they likely weren't killed instantly when the plane hit. They all had no way out and had the privilege of being burned alive, dying of smoke inhalation, or jumping. 658 employees of theirs died that day, including Howard's younger brother, Gary Lutnick.
