>now due to lack of ambition
its not a lack of ambition, its a lack of possibilities and ways to actually work towards ambitions. people dont try enough anymore because
1- due to how society is structured, why would you? you have everything you need at your disposal, so why put the effort and time following some huge dream of improving the world when you can just get a comfy office job and do nothing for all your life? and this is never going to change as long as consumerism keeps being a thing.
2- young people dont have the same opportunities that boomers had. the economy is shit, the job market is abysmal, the prices for everything are increasing, how is someone supposed to work towards something revolutionary when most of the population is barely able to make ends meet?
society is not getting "lazy" its simply stagnant, because the higher ups want it to be that way, because its more profitable for the rich. evolution means change, and they dont like that.
>You've gone from being an educator to customer service rep
i think its fair that the students get to choose whichever teacher they prefer more, though the workplace shouldnt be allowed to fire you until they find you another job first i think. or they could just move you to another class though i dunno how it works in unis.
