It saddens me to see Dustin Mays sinker get crushed. His command is spotty so he ends up throwing it way too high and it gets launched instead of grounding out. Orel actually mentioned how his sinker is becoming his Achilles heel because it's staying level and it's landing in the hitters barrel zone.

When this happens, the dominoes just continue to fall in the most predictable fashion. He'll continue to fail to locate his sinker, it'll get crushed. His command will worsen because he's freaking the fuck out because he relies on the sinker to deliver his lethal sweeper and the game just runs away from him.

He's never going to be an ace or a "great" pitcher, but he can at least return to the mean if he gets therapy to deal with his on the mound meltdowns and improves the shape/location of his sinker.
