I swear to fucking god that legal speak is purposefully fucking obfuscated.

There was a time when most people couldn't even read, and ide wager that when mass public education started to become a thing, they made sure the English you learned in school was much different than legal speak. Now legal speak has a reason to have very specific semantics for specific words but it also feels like there were barriers purposefully erected around the masses understanding legal structure, considering it is the literal foundation of civilization and the economy.

When i search "Pro Hac Vice" on the dockets I get 286 docket matches, is there a better way lol?
