The best part of the Priestess debate is that neither the characters nor the readers have a solution to the problem Priestess is trying to deal with. It's always "we must stop Priestess, she's evil!" and not "can we present an alternative to Priestess' plan". HG are writing themselves into a corner because at this rate it'll take a last-minute asspull to deal with this issue.
