The point isn't if he is or isn't beyond redemption. The point is that no other character is pushed even a fraction as hard as Eito. There's no other character where the story immediately punishes you and locks you into a bad ending for simply choosing to something they disagree with.

The same route where he comes back to the school and tries to kill you, and you *have* to say "No big deal", you also execute Eva for basically no reason except it being mildly convenient. Every character is treated as expendable, everyone eats shit sometimes, everyone except Eito. If you ever so much as disagree with Eito, it's off to BAD END jail for you. And if you're unlucky, that BAD END jail comes with pages and pages and pages of the writers seething at you, like the Multiple Eitos route.

Again, one of the absolute worst Author's Pet characters I've seen in at least a decade.
