>Glad I managed to dodge the brony train though.

You were lucky. Genuinely. I was a huge brony back in the day, but I was largely isolated from the rest of the community, living in Massachusetts and being a resourceless middle and high schooler, and actually getting out to Go And Meet The Bronies, as it were, in the post-Bronycon days was legitimately one of the worst decisions I ever made. The fandom has stridden by for a long time on the social subversion of grown adult men liking a show about girly cartoon ponies well past Web 3's understanding that it's more of a PG-rated comic fantasy show from a former Cartoon Network writer, and back on the early 2010s internet, bronies were seen by newfags as the encapsulation of internet extremity and weirdness, but in all honesty, the brony fandom is MOSTLY normalfags. The kind of people the 'didn't start using the internet until 2016' stereotype was invented to denote. They're a lot more unaware of internet culture and conformist and constantly on guard for negative nerd stereotypes than furries are, even now that the furry fandom has endured SonicFox and started to get flushed too. The ones I lived with lived in squalor, can't write at a professional level, and were very stereotypically sleazy drug users/alcoholics. I've written award-winning pony fanfiction and spent a lot of time talking to these niggas on Skype, so it definitely was better then, but overall? Completely out the window. I'm glad Homestuck is creeping back up on the internet, because it deserved all the attention MLP got much more.

Are there any video games you feel fall under the phenomenon of normal people imagining what it's like to be weird?
