Entirely normal. To paraphrase Beethoven, to draw wrong is insignificant, but to make art without passion is inexcusable. I'd rather have a hundred loved artists happy but missing, than a single one with their style rotting away into irrelevance through stubbornness. If nothing else, the former can be saved and rediscover their spark—while the latter cannot.
