5-A looked crazy good. It's the SB debut of Sho Oi, one of the young Trigger animators following in Ikarashi's footsteps. Compared to Ikarashi he has more of a Ohira/Miyazawa edge and I'd say he's more an illustrator than an animator, see his great layouts for the unofficial Trigger episode of Heavenly Delusion or the postcards he drew for the red dragon fight of Dungeon Meshi, so it's not unexpected for his episode to be filled with amazing visuals.

So far New PSG is surely delivering on the premise of giving the new generation of Trigger a playground to express themselves, between this, the Instagram episode made out of ideas from the female staff, Serial Killer Bitch being written and directed by another newbie, Fuck & Furious being a solo animation work, etc. And many of the more talented people haven't even appeared or have done almost nothing yet.
