But that's part of the whole freedom of speech thing though, isn't it? If speech influences someone's views then that means that speech is having an impact. If you don't like that speech or its impact then you would call it "brainwashing", but that would also be said for your own speech by those who oppose it. You either support free speech in all cases even for those who you disagree with or else you don't support free speech at all. Period.
