Given those are pretty integral to the girls and the design I think it'd be absurd to paylock them. That being said I know gacha has a bad reputation for a good reason but it really is surprising how enjoyable TD is, and how friendly it is too.
I'm glad you were able to get the First Class Citizen Sub-Skill as well; I gave it to Lucretia the second she'd earned it and she absolutely wears it with pride! There's a subskill you can earn through story progression that gives an attack and range bonus when equipped to a Sorcerer as well, so it might be worth giving her that too when you get it.
