Is this why many states are passing legislation to make silver and gold legal tender? Wouldn't paper contracts in place of physical make it's MORE valuable. 150 people think they all own one Oz of gold when really it's only one. Gold is easy to verify if it's bullion. Hell people scratch off flakes in Venezuela to pay for groceries.
