I mean, it's kind of nice they haven't milked their films too much, even with the sequel potential several of them have. Coraline has had some people wanting a sequel for, ParaNorman of course, and even Kubo. Of those three, I think Kubo would be interesting, if only to see where his powers and storytelling could go as he ages, but all the same I know it could easily cheapen what made the first movie so fun. Same would be true of the other films, like Boxtrolls or Missing Link. Hopefully the new short doesn't do anything cheapen what made the original ParaNorman good, as it a favorite of mine.
