Agree with much of this post, but not all of it.
Yes correct: the internet has now become an *enforcement mechanism* and benchmark reference point. It is also hurtling towards being the primary tool of Authoritarian Statist centralized control: social credit scores (already endemic in China), surveillance and tracking devices to create a LifeLog (<--name of FB before it started) of every person's entire existence.
Internet is now Serious Business for real.
