At this point, I have to think that there’s an internal purge of dead weight within the IRGC going on, and perhaps Israel is even being allowed to continue its strikes even if Iranian intelligence knows about them because the Supreme Leader doesn’t want squabbles within the leadership to get out of control if he does them himself, as cope as that sounds. If Khamanei gives an actual shit about the autonomy of the office of the Supreme Leader, he should be purging the IRGC right now, there are undoubtably at least a few elements in its leadership who will try to make his successor a puppet
