For me, it's panel (taskbar) on the bottom, menu button in the bottom-left corner, grouped window list icons to the right of that, clock in the bottom-right corner, and tray icons on the left of that.

Yeah, but I'm used to it. Duh. I can move any of these things wherever I want. (I can even change it to the disgusting Windows 11 layout in which the menu button is centered with the window icons so that it moves to the left as more windows are open.) But I won't. Why the fuck would I want to re-learn where to look for my clock? Just so that it's different? Sometimes it's good to be different, but if I set things up such that I always glance at the bottom right and then say "oh" and then look somewhere else whenever I want to see what time it is, etc., it's just going to be an experiment in how many insignificant little bullshits it takes to make me mad.
