Smoker's name change was the one thing I liked better in the dub. It's probably less jarring to non-english speakers, but having a guy who's legal name is Smoker who smokes all day and ends up getting smoke powers feels kind like if Spider-man's real name was "Spider Parker".
Also, constantly exhaling smoke as a side effect of his powers is cooler than smoking two cigars at once.
