I don't care about the plot. I don't care about the ramifications for the universe or what it does or doesn't adhere to with respect to the original. I just like it for the sensory experience and the father/son themes. I don't understand why so many people need to get so into the weeds regarding plot minutiae and continuity that it ruins their viewing experience. Can't some movies be enjoyed as they are without having to consult the sacred archives to figure out if the movie retroactively ruined everything?
