a lot has changed in china in the last 5 years alone, but even in the 2010s, you would be hard pressed to find a village in china that looked like this.
china is basically no longer developing at this point. it's basically a completely different country from whatever your perception is. it's basically a larger, slightly less dystopic south korea.
