Yugoslavia was cucked even before Tito died. In the 70s a house was anywhere from 100k to a million dinars, by the late 80s the same house could go up to a billion dinars. The reason for it's collapse was primarily the hyperinflation the communists couldn't contain. The country was crumbling under it's own weight, just like the Soviet Union. This was the reason Slovenia was asking for federalization and later for capitalism, but after yhe Kosovo protests, Serbia did a 180 and instead removed the autonomous zones, thus the Slovenians said "fuck it" and prepared to leave, then Croatia got scared it would remain alone with the rest of us monkeys and ever growing Serbia. Then the rest became a bloody history as the Serbian nationalists tried to speed up their plans for domination, but instead fucked us all over (including themselves) in the process. TLDR: it was financial collapse that led ti the rise in nationalism, which led to later wars in Yugoslavia.
