I got some more details on this recently. It seems it's the usual take downs being sent by various government busy bodies from countries like the Europe and the USA (threatening action against server hosts, etc.) So they're taking down the stuff specifically cited and I was just lucky enough to be on a list somewhere.
Would have been nice to have some clear communication about it beforehand so that I wasn't left hypothesizing but it's understandable that they had to do it.
