no
it feels like they're course correcting after all the criticisms from the beginning and it's obvious that 3.4 had some rewrites
the "build up" was really bad
they spent the first most of the plot focusing way too much on the chrysos heirs and i think it wasn't a good idea, because they're the weakest cast of characters in the entire game.
it also felt like they were trying too hard to hide the obvious twists behind amphoreus instead of just incorporating them into the plot in a much more organic way
you'd think that with quests being a lot longer this time, they can have a lot more things going on each patch
but no, we really needed to have 100% of the focus be on the chrysos heirs tragic backstories
herta and screwllum have been reduced to just showing up at the end of a patch and dropping lore bombs instead of playing an active role or getting to know their backstories
the astral express and black swan are just absent from the plot and the memo keeper conspiracy is just now getting mentioned again
the TB's role in the plot basically just has them be the viewer of events while you don't really do any important discoveries, or any important moment is done by a chrysos heir that isn't you or done by someone else
the TB isn't the one that found out amphoreus was a cycle, and they aren't even the one that found out it was a simulation (this one i was afraid was going to happen)
they have way too much shit going on while also having to advertise a bloated cast of characters and it's flaws are showing
