It's crucial for Cherno's and Mersault's development as well as solving the Adventist's plotline and Sartre. Also goes to show how advanced Snowbreak's technology is with Sartre's Beauvoir acquiring sentience causing the mystery plotline.
And it always felt like Edda was out of place in the main story. Treated as a big deal but always behind the scenes until recent chapters. Turns out besides Fogbound dream she caused the events of Gradient of Souls by manipulating the Adventists, which also connects with the New Hentiro's and Bubu's plotlines of manipulating people and their faiths for the production of titans and heroes.

Also is that it? This ending talking about finding Mersault again. I'm unsure if this is meant to conclude in another event or to directly tie with 5* Cherno's personal files.
