Should say I''s is the actual poster child of all those modern romances that walk a thin line between romcom and misery porn, because Iori was molested iirc, so there's trauma involved. Masakazu Katsura confessed most of the ideas for that manga were born in brainstorming meetings with Torishima and editors where they discussed about ways to torture Ichitaka (the last one was basically sent him into an indefinite coma after whiteknighting hard for Iori against a drug addict and rapist). Thanks to I''s we got shit like Domekano, 5toubun, Abyss, Kanokari, Dog and Scum, et cetera.
