Looks like almost every downtown area in Europe.
Co-workers, friends and family constantly want to go "downtown" to a restaurant or shopping and I refuse, I don't want to go to northern Marrakesh or Kinshasa.
Tourists have been complaining about Brussels for over two decades and they're right, you have to go OUTSIDE of the district of Brussels itself to see the Brussels, it's absolutely insane.
