Photography is better than other visual arts because it’s as true to life as anything else, even more true to life than memory or eyesight. A photograph cannot lie; it is a testament, it is evidence, it is justice. It bears witness.

Paintings require interpretation of the artist’s inner feelings and mind. Sculpture requires transformation of bodily energy. Drawings are similar.
