The Senate Parliamentarian removed a ton of great provisions of the BBB that we wanted. The bill is pretty gutted rn. There's still a lot of core components, but between the Parliamentarian and the Senate's poison pills (such as hoholstan funding) I have a sour taste in my mouth about it. Senate-introduced provisions that she struck out (such as land sales) are being permanently removed, but the House is continuing to struggle for its own provisions to be revised and reintroduced. Provisions introduced by the House and removed by the Parliamentarian include eliminating the silencer tax (gun tax--basically guns produce sounds that are so loud they can cause hearing damage and silencers protect people's ears to prevent gunfire-induced hearing loss), sales of Green New Deal USPS vehicles from Biden's admn, various provisions relating to accounting, repeal of many other aspects of Biden's IRA/GND bill, repeal of Biden-era environmental regulations, etc.

The reason? She says none of it is related to the budget! It makes no sense at all. She even approved the original provisions herself as Parliamentarian, so it lays bare her partisanship here.
