Yeah, the stand plugs into the tail. And my tail joint was very loose out of the box along with the ankle joints. 100% needs a stand for posing upright. I managed to tighten the tail joint a bit with glue but I dunno if it will last because 100% of the toys weight is on its tail joint when upright. It makes it a real pain to pose.
