it realy started in 2014. Trump in 2015 was really just a meme. Back then, many people here did much more "for teh lulz" than today. Nothing was taken too seriously. Least of us ourselves.
I really, really miss those times.
But Gamergate woke everyone up. Suddenly nerds "like us" emerged but were corrupted in some way. Using the means of technology against us.
I never really liked the pseudo-stormfront of /pol/ 11 years ago, and even today I dislike it. Unfortunately all other boards turned out to be even more comped than this here. So I stayed.
But the internet really changed in 2014, maybe even more than it changed after the "eternal september" back in 1992.
