So I was thinking a bit. Potter was truly insane. If he went back in time? He had no reason to Horcrux his family. If it was a straight line back, if his daughter is alive and could have Sally removed? His wife would still be alive too. He would not need to murder his sons. Fuck, even if it was a slightly different timeline? Same difference. He killed them and at least 3 others for nothing, if this was his plan. If he un-Horcruxed them and they met their versions back then, welcome to St. Mungo's. That or he literally kills them again so the Horcrux version never could meet their past selves.
