What was good about the patriot system is already implemented and improved upon with the S350.
And that thing was dense packing of medium range missiles.
Perhaps one could argue that the mixing of missiles types in a single launcher is also a nifty feature (similar to how the pods in HIMARS can contain cruise missiles, ballistic missiles or a pack of normal mlrs rockets.).

Those are actually good features.
Unfortunately, Patriots still can't into vertical launches and the missiles are unfortunately useless. Other than that it's a promising system.
