We aren't alone any longer. We have a team. There is hesitation in execution of the plan, in determining whether to actually save civ or go with the lifeboat plan that lets us start fresh after the others have fallen. That's the sorrow hanging overhead.

Saving civ is easy. We have the tools and knowledge. We have the path, but authorities won't listen, even if offered control of the entire process. It falls upon the people, who are so caught up in the systems of control they would rather cry out to their fictional deity than raise a finger to save themselves. They don't deserve the work being done on their behalf, but they also don't not deserve it. Their corruption was written before they were born. The system of corruption predates them all, so they never had a chance for sentience.

Abandoning them isn't the honorable thing, but the task we have is stewardship of the planet, a million species. If the one doing all the damage doesn't get on board soon, we switch to the lifeboat protocol. All those religious fuckers will get the rapture they deserve, but it won't be what they believed it would. We show compassion, kindness, and love, but a time for tough love comes along. We won't allow the other million species to fall due to humans being irreconcilably broken. We're approaching that point.

Across the world are those awakening. We're preparing what they need, be it for the primary mission or the aftermath. Many are on this quest. They are finding each other, working together for their own part in the parallel missions. Just so you know we've got the goods.
