I'm playing P5X too and yeah the devs are ultra Jews there so I'm not spending any money. But the main story, despite being a watered down P5, is still way better than 3.x slop. I'll play both for now since they both have 5 minute dailies, but I have the feeling I might drop HSR soon since I find myself just skipping all of the story these days. Even the fate collab, which I was so hyped for, ended up with me zoning out during the silent film slop section.
