Momo Kohgo has a chance to give back in Stardom without her icon Mayu Iwatani!

Momo Kohgo of Stardom came to Stardom because she loves Stardom. Before she was a professional wrestler, she was a "fan". And she was a big Stardom fan. Comomo made her debut as a wrestler with Actress Girls. She learned about professional wrestling just a few months before she started.

>"It started with WWE. Around the end of 2018, right before I became an actress. It all started with Ronda Rousey vs Alexa Bliss. Ronda is a fighter, and Alexa has a glamorous feel to her. I thought it was interesting to see two such polar opposites fighting, and I wanted to see more. So I searched for 'Japan,' 'women's,' and 'pro wrestling,' and Stardom came up. From there I started watching her videos, got to know Mayu (Iwatani), and started going to see her in venues."

Comomo herself made her debut as a professional wrestler, but she thought that the professional wrestling she did as an actress and a side job in show business was completely separate from that of Stardom.

>"I also do professional wrestling, but Stardom is like Broadway to me. It's like something high above the clouds. It's a completely different thing to what I do, and I was just a fan, enjoying it purely as entertainment. In fact, I had a few favorite wrestlers myself (laughs). At the time, my favorites were Mayu Iwatani, Saki Kashima, Starlight Kid, and Saya Kamitani. I also really liked Tam Nakano's uke style, and used to watch her a lot."

However, her love for the sport has led her to naturally incorporate moves she has seen in Stardom into her own wrestling.

>"This happened before I came to Stardom, so I hope you'll forgive me (laughs). I copied Mayu's moves and used them without permission, yes (laughs). The audience noticed too."

If that's the case, has she ever thought about actually wrestling in the Stardom ring?

>"The truth is, I've always wanted to try it. But in reality, I never thought it would actually be possible."
