the "list" they are talking about is of people that went "Missing" around his island. Many of whom were scuba divers, sailors, and kayakers. They went out at night and for those activities and never returned (suspected abduction). Since St. Thomas is a tourist island, all of the missing persons reports were never reported on as they don't want to scare away the tourist population. During new moons, when the sky is only lit by starlight, you can sometimes see the triangle lights coming out of the water in between St. John and St. Thomas.
