Naruto was never banned on /a/, threads just got deleted because people kept trolling them since they were inevitably normalfag magnets.
What got banned was trolling Naruto threads specifically, after that started happening.
The state of /a/ is incredibly sad because there aren't even people trolling threads now, because so much of /a/ is obviously not native to the board. The breakdown is basically
>50% Unending Generals
Your /dbs/, /opg/, /csm/, etc.
The issue with generals, even for ongoing shows, is when they persist without new content. If there's a new chapter or episode, yeah it makes sense to have a thread, but even with weekly seasonals you can see visible derangement occur during the six days of nothing when they persist. (The old "solution" used to just be that the episode thread would be slow enough to stay up for almost a full week after the episode airs, but if your seasonal thread is hitting bump limit on a wednesday, and it airs on saturdays, there's some issues going on).
>30% Dailies / Storytimes
Just constant spam and nothing more. People with passes dumping images for two hours, or longer, and either nobody will post or you'll have five other guys with passes going "ENTER" or "I KNEEL" to every page.
>15% Low-effort bait or retarded postings
Shit imported from /v/
>5% actual posts that are decent and on topic
Die before hitting 200 posts.
