Judaism isn't christianity. Judaism is babylonic and regardless, The Gospel isn't advocating for religion. If salvation is entirely God's to boast, then the requirement for salvation has nothing to do with religion, and this completely contradicts Huckabee's understanding of the dichotomy.
Believers are not religious in the sense that they're trying to justify themselves with the law. They consider themselves dead to it. Religion unironically believes this to be some sort of corruption of the faith, when its actually the basis of the faith. Judaism has nothing to do with the hebrew faith. Christianity buy-in-large doesn't even resemble what it was back then, at its capacity, referring to the mustard seed parable, Christ explicitly warned that the religious would infiltrate the faith and make it seem far larger than it actually is, like a mustard seed that instead of growing into some sort of bush, grows into a tree so large that even the birds (enemies of God) can nest in its branches (denominations).
To the secular world, Christianity has 230 sects. In reality, looking at the text, with the faith being axiomatically tied to the belief that Jesus is God incarnate with the promise of the gospel. There is only 1 'sect' and its the body of christ. the church. Its not a religious institution that avoids paying taxes.
Huckabee is a run of the mill evangelical, and it doesn't surprise me that while dispensationalism is infact biblical, God does promise David a political kingdom. This fallacious reasoning behind simply foaming at the mouth over someone being genetically jewish is bullshit because God doesn't show favoritism, the 144,000 elect are picked for the purpose of spreading the gospel, and its evident with this task that they infact believe that Jesus is God incarnate. This has nothing to do with the fact that God merely picks them because they're jewish. There are many in israel that do not believe and some won't ever.
