Yes more Chinese people than ever use the web, but that statistic intentionally counts TikTok! And they also stay on other Chinese centric websites
It makes these types of graphs unusable to truly tell where their influence is

The bigger issue is corporations
Maybe the average Chingaling Chong didn't come online and ruin it by posting, but Chinese companies did, they took over most of the net, altered peoples' posting habits, provide most cheap shoddy "services" from media to shopping and intentionally shape the brains of underages, the same "zoomers" god that sort of language is cancer you claim aren't the problem get mindwashed by their propaganda

My best guess is that they're trying to double down because they want to avoid the "haha you're only doing it cause it's socially acceptable now" jokes

Every other company stopped doing it cause it's not kewl and trendy anymore but Xbox is the one kid who doesn't wanna admit it was all a phase, mooooom! So they're thinking "while everyone is quitting the trend, I'll continue, so that if it becomes cool again in a couple of years I'll look like the only legit one!"
