The lack of films that pass the Bechdel test is not because of men, it's because of women. I have never heard a single woman ever mention a movie like Hidden Figures, but good luck finding one that hasn't seen Twilight or 50 Shades, or that doesn't watch true crime series about serial killers. Even women directors that make kino like American Psycho, Babadook or Lost In Translation don't make films that pass the Bechdel test.
Men are drawn to objects and ideas, women are drawn to people and romance. The Bechdel test blames men for women being women instead of men (ironically a misogynistic perspective), and it's not even relevant, since pretty much no woman in real life gives a shit about it in the first place.
