So Superman in a moment of severe crisis and trauma chooses to.....save a squirrel?

Is this guy for real? He has God-like powers and yet he seems more concerned with saving the life of a random squirrel than he is dealing with the actual crisis. His ability to properly assess a dangerous situation seems really off. By the way, since when was Superman such an animal rights fighter? Is he even vegan? Last time I looked the Chinese butcher farms are still operational. Last time I looked, millions of chickens are still being hurdled together in tiny spaces before their moment of traumatic slaughter. I have yet to see Superman intervene there. Or does he believe a problem only exists if it's right in front of him? That doesn't only make him stupid, but also outright dangerous.
