I just want my own quiet place to live and enjoy my hobbies bros. I live with my parents and they're incredibly noisy and interfere with my lifestyle so fucking much, for instance they hang out in the kitchen just staring at their phones for HOURS which means I can't cook until they go to bed, forcing me to stay up later than I'd like to wait them out.

They refuse to make any concessions because it's "their house".
Even now my dad is in the backyard blasting his music on a bluetooth speaker which fucks my concentration so I can't do anything mentally taxing. It takes an earplug-earmuff combo to mute it out since it's so loud and that gets uncomfortable fast.

I briefly entertained buying a house but came to the sobering realization that at current prices and rates I simply can't afford one, unless I was willing to spend most of my money on the monthly payments.
Renting would be a bit cheaper but I don't enjoy throwing away money for nothing in the end. I could get a roommate but then I'm right back where I started if I get the wrong one.
