I proposed that theory yesterday, I do think it's plausible, but time travel might be a bit cliché. I reread the Oden flashback where the Roger pirates reach Laugh Tale and they say they're the first to reach it in 800 years, so maybe that kills the theory, unless it's worded in a way where it could make sense.
