im sure the monasteries on Athos are nice, but the parthenon is much older. sure the rites are gone, and the priests are dead, but these are ancient sanctuaries anon. I would like to do both if I had the time but frankly I would prefer to sit amongst these ruins than to visit your monasteries, just a personal preference
