I understand that BF6 needs a ton of people because of idiotic amount of details in the assets and all that, but doesn't it basically mean that the game will not have any soul because it's not made by a studio that has people together on the job but rather a bunch of them that only cooperate through internet?
Besides that early BFs didn't have this much audience anyways because it scratched a different itch than CoD which were big battles with destructible environment. It was always a smaller franchise and now we're getting battle royale mode because execs said so, which no dev wanted before and most likely don't want now.
