Cadavers are the easy part. You can get used to them pretty quickly.
Medical education here tends to get more intense as less "dead" things get. People who just died recently (autopsies) are the next step, then the living patients come and now your actions have real consequences.
I did a few internships and it was not easy as a mere student. I spent a few weeks at a geriatrics ward and it was nasty. A few old ladies did die during my stay there, but their death was inevitable; their health deteriorated beyond saving.
You just have to get used to working with the human body, be it dead or alive.
