Samurais aren't meant to be attractive, they're supposed to look like warriors. Pic related was made when japs still had some testosterone in them. I've never played a samurai game thinking "Oh I don't like this game because the protagonist isn't cute enough", but modern Japan wants everything to be "kawaii", that's why most japanese games and animes stopped focusing on the plot and now put more emphasis on designing "cute" characters that can sell their shows/games. That's why you see twinks and plastic looking bicthes larping with samurai armors in most japanese media. Wanting everything to look "cute" is a clear sign of low T.
